4 Tips to Connecting Cable From PC to TV

2. Identify the output connection of your computer.

Recently manufactured computers already have a built-in TV-compatible output; thus, it's easier to connect cable from PC to TV quickly. The S-video particularly seems to be getting more and more common in computers and it is now usual to see VGA output that regular computer monitors hook up to.

3. Look for the right adapter for your connections.

You need an adapter to connect your cable from PC to TV. This adapter should have a selection of hookups on one end and a VGA adapter on the other. After the computer's signal is acquired by your TV, you are done. However, you should be aware that not everything is perfect when you connect the cable from PC to TV because the TV resolution is different from that of the computer. Your computer generates a different signal. The signals are usually in pixels such as 320x200 pixels but televisions can only get around 500 lines of resolution. Moreover, the television video amplifiers are not capable of handling higher resolutions thereby leaving your with a 640x480 maximum resolution. Nevertheless, you can still get an HDTV adapter for higher resolutions but be ready to spend 2 to 3 times higher that a standard adapter.
